Case Study #1 :: KapohoKine Adventures, LLC
KapohoKine Adventures, LLC is a luxury tour company located on the Big Island of Hawaii. They pride themselves on offering the highest quality luxury tours that have very low impact on the local environment. Their tours are small and the company operates in a way that respects the Native Hawaiians and their culture. KapohoKine came to us in 2003 with the challenge of creating a web site that would consistently deliver their brand to clients not only through an attractive web experience but by drawing them into the feel of the locale and the beautiful traditions they have come to love and enthusiastically share with their customers.
Graphic Lingoes Solution:
Create a web site that allows potential customers to feel the unsurpassed beauty that is part of the experience of each KapohoKine Adventures tour. Achieving this solution was a result of research of the Big Island and its culture, review of numerous photographs from past tours and defining the company’s vision through client interviews. The result can be seen at www.KapohoKine.com. Initially from the input available a flash site seemed to be the appropriate solution. After new market analysis over the course of the first year however, it became evident that KapohoKine’s target audience included potential customers with both high speed and dial up connections. Based on this new information we created an additional slow connection html site that can be accessed from a landing page when first arriving at www.KapohoKine.com.. Besides developing their web solution, Graphic Lingoes is the webmaster for KapohoKine Adventures, LLC.
Case Study #2 :: Define - San Diego's First Lifestyle Enhancement Club
Chris J. Snook and Steve Froehlich of Define brought a very interesting challenge to Graphic Lingoes. They needed a web site complete with a shopping cart, and they needed it in two weeks. Due to the very stringent time constraints Chris and Steve stated up front they were willing to sacrifice a little design for a little more functionality if necessary. Good thing for Chris and Steve that while we delivered their web site with cart on time, we also would never sacrifice design or functionality.
Graphic Lingoes Solution:
Although, Graphic Lingoes does not prefer to complete web sites under extremely tight time frames, we are always up for the challenge to work with visionary customers in their environment. To ensure success of the Define project, a strict time line was created with progress checkpoints and strict deadlines. Graphic Lingoes also established direct relationships with Define's hosting facility and merchant account providers to speed up the project and eliminate unnecessary communication and errors. The end result can be seen at www.definesd.com. Currently Graphic Lingoes is also the webmaster for Define.
Case Study #3 :: Confectionately Yours - Cake Decorating and Candy Making Supplies
Confectionately Yours came to Graphic Lingoes with the challenge of taking their old site and redesigning it with a more modern look and feel while at the same time maintaining their signature pink color motif. In addition to maintaining a familiar site for their customers, Confectionately Yours needed a shopping cart that would be simple to use, allow easy update and give them the ability to add new products as needed.
Graphic Lingoes Solution:
Graphic Lingoes started the process by brainstorming with the owners of Confectionately Yours regarding their current brand and then exploring how we could help maintain that brand, and make it stronger. Our main focus was to maintain the their current mom and pop feel their customers are familiar with, while at the same time providing a modern site that would reflect their increasing ability to serve their client base. After several follow-up analysis sessions it was decided a very straight forward marketing approach would address their needs discussed in the initial meetings. To accomplish this, three categories were created that each product in the store would fall into. Those three products categories are called out on the Home Page. From there the rest fell into place in creating a scalable online shopping cart that was easy to use. Delivering on an initial promise to them, Graphic Lingoes researched and found a pre-built php shopping cart that we then completely customized to fit the needs and look of Confectionately Yours.
At present, Confectionately Yours manages their own site and uses the back end user interface that Graphic Lingoes installed to completely maintain their web site and online store. As use of the site has progressed and evolved Graphic Lingoes has continued to help with suggestions that have enhanced their customers’ shopping experience.
