A bachelor’s degree in graphic design from San Diego State University, experience in management, and teaching, quality assurance and working with numerous marketing departments, are just a few of the qualifications from Mike’s diverse background that he brings to the table as director of Graphic Lingoes. At a young age Mike realized he had a passion for art. He would spend hours drawing on his drafting table left to him by his grandfather who was the display manager and designer for the renowned Marston Company in downtown San Diego. In 1995 following his love of the sea, Mike entered the United States Coast Guard Academy. While he enjoyed and did well at academics and sports at the Academy, it eventually became evident his true passion and talent was in graphic design. Resigning his cadet status in the Coast Guard in 1997, Mike then attended San Diego State University graduating in 2003. To work his way through college, he began a career in customer service with the highly successful Mike Russ Financial Training Centers, Inc. holding all positions from level 1 support to webmaster to management. Following a desire to teach, Mike also began teaching seminars on various subjects from business ethics to licensing. Mentored by his company’s owner from entry level to management of the organization, Mike understands from the ground up what it takes to successfully run a business. Inspired by his rapidly growing knowledge of business and web and print design, Mike began offering freelance graphic design services while still in college. Upon graduation Mike began working with LeonardoMD, an online software startup company where his previous customer service, web design, marketing and branding experience solidified his role as a key employee. With his diverse background and computer experience he quickly learned all facets of the customer service, development and marketing departments. Sharing his experience and learning with his fellow LeonardoMD co-workers Mike started applying his vast knowledge of computers, design, marketing and business to his own freelance business that had began to grow rapidly. In 2005 Mike teamed up with Leonardo MD colleague Dustin Carter and started Aguilar Designs which has now become Graphic Lingoes.

Dustin holds a bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University in Information Technology. For the past 6 years Dustin has lead the quality assurance and customer service departments for LeonardoMD. His talent for troubleshooting, developing and researching current technology and web trends adds the strength of proven business knowledge to the development of every web solution at Graphic Lingoes. Dustin’s specialties include development, php, java, CSS2 and html, installing modulated solutions and technical training for clients.
